....thought that this review in todays province newspaper here in vancouver might rub some people the wrong way. reviewer tom harrison writes::

YEAH YEAH YEAHS: "FEVER TO TELL" - is it damning praise to compare Yeah Yeah Yeahs with Garbage? Garbage is not the commercial force it once was while Yeah Yeah Yeahs are rising.Yet this band does sound like a noisy version of Garbage.Singer Karen O is as sassy as Shirley Manson though a little more punk-affected and maybe more reckless than the controlled Manson ever would be.Likewise,the other Yeahs sound raw and in love with pure power,yet in their unrefined way they have sculpted a sound and purposefully developed it just as Garbage does in its prcessed way. 3 stars out of 5
