....dunno if this is news ,but the radio stations up here in vancouver go on and on about the white stripes and whether they are married,brother and sister or what.married and divorced is the answer for those of you that giveashit.
...thumbing through the punk planet at starbucks/chapters today. the one with the vagrant records cover. the story inside about their business practices leaves you wondering if they should even be called "indie".

....gee,very sad to hear about john entwhistle of the who. how some of you may have felt about joey and dee dee is how i feel about this news. as a teen,this was the band i locked myself away to when i was in a shitty mood. always felt "behind blue eyes" was about me back in the day.
...the latest grooves magazine has on the cover in big print "boards of canada".so i pick it uo thinking it is gonna have an interview with the boys.hmmmm,thumb through and no....it's just a collection of quotes from other sources,online and print.i have to say that i found this to be a little disappointing as i had already read many of these quotes. note to grooves staff.....maybe next time ...do the legwork yourselves,or at least don't make it look like you have some exclusive by putting them on the cover in bold print!

....nice article on freaky trigger about the talking heads,specifically the "fear of music" and "remain in light" albums and the byrne/eno "my life in the bush of ghosts". 3 albums which for me have stood the test of time.

....it's hot!!! why is it that dub and reggae always sound especially nice when it's hot?listening to lee perry & mad professor - "black ark experryments" and it suits the day perfectly.
...review is up on gridface for the new basic channel mix and it is another to add to my ever expanding wishlist. this looks to be a winner. i would rank monolake in my top twenty favourite acts as well as enjoying a lot of the bc stuff from vanquier to porter ricks.actually alot of what i enjoy comes from that whole kompakt ,~scape and others scene.

...since piano magic's new album is import only right now,and i can't seem to find it locally. ii have downloaded and am currently listening to "writers without homes". so good,so far.

...good fugazi article on the stylus site.this is a band that i continue to enjoy and anticipate each new release from. just wish they would come out with stuff a little more frequently.

...new nelly is blasting in the background today [probably all day]. my daughter is a fan and actually is making me a bit of one as well. ok...i admit that there is some top 40 that i like. even that damn "bye,bye,bye" song from nsync. heh.
...my provider was down all of last night,geez i was bored. maybe a little to much of my life is linked to the computer !
